These flower-filled gardens have been designed around the theme of the writer Colette to create a landscape which evokes the life and work of this writer who had a real passion for nature. A 1 hr tour of the garden will shed light on her childhood spent in St Sauveur-en-Puisaye; the woods of the Franche-Comté region where she fled to forget her first husband Willy; Brittany and Rozven, introduced to her by her friend Missy; the Corrèze, whose Senator was her second husband, the Baron de Jouvenel; the Provence of Maurice Goudeket, her last husband and “best friend?; and the gardens of the Palais Royal. Visitors can also explore the interactive “Bel Gazou? maze, shaped like a giant butterfly.

Services : Audio-guides (FR, GB, NE, D), shop and tea room.
