A real “coup de foudre” for this so cute cottage! Thanks for this fantastic week 🙂 !

We spent a couple of nights in this beautiful house. Would recommend this town and house if you are looking for a place to relax with wonderful views.

We had a lovely stay in Vigeois. The cottage is cosy, well-decorated. The surroundings are beautiful, you can easily make long walk from the house.

This is a lovely cottage. Really quiet with fantastic views over the village and the valley. It’s very comfortable, and the wood burner was a great feature and kept us warm during the cold weather. It’s about a 15 min walk to 2 boulangeries in the village. Vigeois is well positioned to explore the area. The village of Turenne, about 40 mins away is a must.

Fabulous gite in a beautiful part of the world. Well equipped, really spacious and heaps of character. The outdoor area is a real sun trap with a great view, there is a bbq which was great. The wood burner kept the place very cosy on a cool evening. The lake nearby is very nice and has a with the beach is a handy spot for swimming. Highly recommended.

Everything was as described and shown, check-in was easy – and flexible. Although I did not meet Simone and Peter, Simone was always “on call”, or so it seemed, since she answered every mail and question immediately. I had a great time at this charming and cheerfull cottage. It is a quite place with great views on a southside patio that has sunshine almost all day – and where I spent a lot of my time. And yes, I got lucky with beautiful sunshine, but even if not, I would have enjoyed my stay in this place thanks to the cosy couch and the pillows and the blankets and the fireplace and, again, the view!

Our stay in vigeois was perfect. The cabin was beautiful and so cozy, and the outside space was perfect to relax with a book or a drink. The cabin is equipt with everything you need and it is the perfect location to get in your car and explore the dordogne! Absolutely loved it.

Everything was perfect, just as the pictures show it… Simone is a great host, the house had everything we needed and we felt very much like home!

We had a lovely week’s stay here. The cottage is full of character and has been beautifully renovated by the owners. Great shower, lots of lovely logs for the wood burner and excellent dog friendly garden and house. The area is very beautiful and quiet, with some great walks on the doorstep. Plenty of interesting villages and towns to visit in the area and Vigeois is easy to reach from the motorway while still secluded and peaceful. Simone and Peter couldn’t have been more helpful and quick to respond to any queries.

What a fantastic stay we had at the Quirky Cottage. Simone and Peter are fabulous hosts and the house is very comfortable. Simone was able to help with any questions we had and even popped in to get the TV working for us. Vigeios is a quiet town but just what we were after. The abbey is spectacular and a walk around the lake is a must (it is beautiful in winter). There is so much to discover and in our 6 days we still didn’t do it all. If you stay, a trip to Pompadour, just 20 mins down the road, to see the chateau is recommended, just remember to go after 2pm. Thank you Simone and Peter. We highly recommend your place.

Simone and Peter were excellent hosts and I was delighted to meet them both and their lovely dog Ruby. The Cottage is really nicely renovated with some lovely quirky features such as the low wooden beams. Having a wood fire is wonderful and the woodshed is fully stocked. There’s a lovely view of Vigeois. The Village also has a SNCF station where there are 5 trains a day to both Limoges and Brive.

Simone was really helpful and knowledgable. The house was spacious, with quirky details and great view over the quiet town. We enjoyed very much and would be back we hope on another visit to the area.

We were looking for a base from which to explore Limousin and the Dordogne, and this cottage was perfect for that and so much more. The cottage is beautifully decorated, clean, quiet and with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Simone and Peter were exceptional hosts, from the moment we booked – providing a really useful house manual and offering to answer any questions we had – to a lovely note and gift upon arrival, and great communications when we opted to stay an extra night towards the end of the trip (purely on the basis of how much we were enjoying the cottage and local area!) Considering how reasonable the price is, we had assumed it would be a fairly small place – or set back from the main views of the village but we couldn’t have been more wrong: really spacious (there were 4 of us) with loads of outdoor space and amazing views down onto the river and across the gorgeous rooftops of Vigeois. Thanks so much to Simone and Peter for having us, and we hope to come back again in the future.

On a adoré ! On regrette de ne pas avoir réservé plus de jours ! Simone a été très disponible pour répondre à nos questions. Une hôte très agréable. On recommande !

Super séjour chez Simone, ce cottage offre une vue magnifique sur Vigeois, très charmant village. Malgré les basses températures nous avons passés un excellent séjour, notamment grâce au poêle!
